Universal continues the global introduction of its award-winning Fuzion™ Platform at events in South America, further solidifying its presence in the region.
April 17, 2013 – More than 50 OEMs and EMSs from across South America recently attended a Universal road show and technology day in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Through live demonstrations of the FuzionXC2-37, manufacturers saw firsthand the platform’s outstanding flexibility, as well as its ability to significantly improve utilization and productivity in high-mix environments. The event also featured technology presentations by Universal’s Advanced Process Laboratory and CERTI, a leading conglomerate of South American electronics industry experts.
In addition, earlier this month Universal and channel partner Hitech Electronica Ind. Comercial Ltda. presented the FuzionXC2-37 to 60,000+ attendees of the Electronic Americas trade show in Sao Paulo. Manufacturers who missed the opportunity to see the platform at the show can visit Hitech’s new demonstration room in Sao Paulo, where the FuzionXC2-37 is featured along with other Universal solutions.
“The Fuzion Platform provides substantial value with its ability to maximize efficiency and lower costs, making it an ideal fit for the manufacturing environments in South America,” said Vice President of Customer Operations Brad Bennett. “We see tremendous growth potential in the South American electronics market, particularly in Brazil, and we are strengthening our presence here,” he added. “We recently made key additions to our infrastructure and are working closely with our long-time channel partner, Hitech, to support the opening of a Universal Spare Parts Depot in Brazil and the new demo room that features Universal equipment.”
