Changes boost Universal’s ability to deliver outstanding products and service in Southeast Asia.

July 16, 2013 – Building on last year’s appointment of Mark Norris as general manager of Southeast Asia Customer Operations, Universal Instruments continues its investment in this fast-growing region with the selection of DNIV as its new channel partner in Malaysia. Established in Singapore in 1995, DNIV has since expanded its Singapore headquarters with offices in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and China.

“We are pleased to be working with DNIV in Malaysia to promote the full range of Universal solutions,” noted Universal Vice President of Global Customer Operations Brad Bennett. “DNIV has the technical expertise and commercial strength in the SMT, automation, and semiconductor markets to play a significant role in driving Universal’s success in the region,” he added.

DNIV Chairman of the Board and Director Desmond Ng is equally enthusiastic about the relationship. “We are committed to exceeding our customers’ expectations and eager to leverage Universal’s well-established portfolio to provide the best possible integrated solutions to our customers,” he said. “DNIV expects this to be a cohesive, successful, and mutually beneficial partnership.”

In addition to choosing DNIV as its Malaysian channel partner, Universal restructured its direct resources in Southeast Asia, making key appointments in several areas including sales, business development, applications engineering, service, and spare parts to better serve local customers. Mark Norris continues to lead the new team from Universal’s central office in Penang, Malaysia.
