Advanced process expertise enables manufacturers to quickly bring concepts and prototypes to reality
September 25, 2014 – Universal Instruments will be exhibiting on Booth #641 at the SMTA International 2014 exhibition in Rosemont, IL, on September 30 – October 1. The company will have experts from its Advanced Process Lab (APL) on-hand to discuss attendees’ unique assembly challenges. The APL leverages its process and materials knowledge to realize rapid product introduction, maximize yield and optimize reliability.
In addition to its booth on the primary exhibitor floor, the APL will also be highlighting specific capabilities on Table #6 at the Power and High Temperature Electronics Manufacturing Experience. This feature area and focused symposium is dedicated to next-generation materials, processes, reliability, and equipment involved in producing products for the high-temperature and harsh-environment markets.

The APL’s AREA Consortium will present four papers at the SMTAi technical conference, including Component Warpage: Issues with Measurement and Standardization (Session SMT6) on Wednesday, October 1, and a full session (LF1) in the Lead-Free Symposium on Thursday, October 2, with three individual papers on the topic of Material Evaluation for High Reliability Applications.
